Deputy Town Clerk Part Time

The Danville NH Town Clerk’s Office is seeking a Part-Time Deputy Town Clerk to assist with the official duties and responsibilities of the Town Clerk while supporting the daily operations of the office. The Town Clerk’s regular business hours are Monday–Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Thursday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This position offers approximately 16–20 hours per week, with a typical schedule of Monday–Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Thursday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and occasional Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Hours may vary based on office needs and during training.

Responsibilities include processing motor vehicle registrations, issuing marriage licenses, providing certified copies of vital records, and ensuring compliance with annual dog licensing requirements. The Deputy Town Clerk will also assist with voter registrations, absentee ballots, as well as working with the Election Team for town, state, and federal elections. The role also involves maintaining and securing municipal records, providing general information to the public, and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, exceptional customer service skills, proficiency in computer use, and the ability to work well with the public. Flexibility in scheduling is also important. The starting hourly wage is $18.05.
