The Plymouth Village Water & Sewer District is seeking a hardworking, personable, environmentally aware, career oriented individual to join our small, award winning team of professionals engaged in treatment and distribution of drinking water and collection
and treatment of wastewater for our community. As a Utility Support Technician you will assist and support our staff in multiple tasks involved in running and maintaining our water systems and infrastructure.
Work includes hands-on operating, maintenance, and custodial functions of the water and wastewater systems as well as operation of heavy equipment, tools, and technology used in maintenance, repair, and construction of water utility infrastructure. This position requires an individual with strong troubleshooting, data collection and management, record keeping, communication, electronic device skills, organization, and attention to detail.
The position provides the opportunity for over-time pay for call back, occasional emergency response. The District offers an excellent wage and benefit package, and a friendly, respectful, collaborative, working environment with support for employee training, growth and advancement.
At a minimum candidate must obtain a NH Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator Grade I OIT certification within 6 months of hire and full certification within 1 year of hire. Must obtain a NH Water Works Treatment and Distribution Grade I certification within 1 year of hire. NH Wastewater and Water Works Certifications preferred.
Compensation is negotiable based upon relevant experience and skills, starting at $22 to $26 per hour.
