The Town of North Hampton, New Hampshire is seeking a progressive, community-oriented Police Chief to lead this full-service police department (approximate budget of $2.2M) with an authorized strength of 12 full-time officers of all ranks, three part-time officers, and one administrative assistant. 

With approximately 4,500 residents, North Hampton is a quintessential New England community on the Seacoast of New Hampshire. With easy access to I-95, North Hampton is just minutes from Portsmouth and 52 miles north of Boston. 

The Town is governed by a three-member Select Board with an appointed Town Administrator.  A bachelor's degree in relevant study from an accredited college or university is preferred.  At least ten years progressively responsible law enforcement with at least five years in supervisory, command and administrative positions, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Salary range to $125,000; starting salary commensurate with qualifications. 

The successful candidate must be certified as a full-time police officer by the State of New Hampshire or by another state/jurisdiction accepted by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council.  Excellent benefits.  North Hampton is an equal opportunity employer.
