PCD Coordinator (Full-Time)

The Town of Boscawen is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player able to work within a diversified environment within the Planning & Community Development Department. This is a full-time position with a great work-life balance schedule for the right person. Tuesday evening meetings are required to support the various Land Use Boards and Commissions. Is a Notary Public or has the ability to become one within three months of employment. Job Description: Provides executive administrative support with professional appearance and phone etiquette, as well as excellent communication skills. Strong personal relations skills for working with the public and coworkers. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and the ability to learn and implement new technologies. Key Responsibilities: Assist in supporting and coordinating the administrative functions of the Planning & Community Development Department to include Assessing, Building Inspection, Code Enforcement and Health Officer duties. Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to assigned administrative functions and sensitive information. Provides support for land use Boards and Commissions for meetings and public hearings, including but not limited to notices and postings, agendas, advertising, certified mailers and preparation of all meetings. Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, assessing and building permit software, building construction, and all of the various Land Use Boards. Strong organizational skills; knowledge of or the ability to learn, interpretation of deeds, maps and survey plans. Maintaining administrative records and preparing reports with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Positive attitude, eager to assist the public and willing to learn and grow within the department. General technical knowledge and ability to follow direction with minimal oversight.
