Requirements: This position is responsible for semi-skilled manual labor in support of facility cleaning and maintenance and minor building and equipment repairs. Performs outside maintenance such as sweeping or shoveling entrances, sidewalks, and steps. Sets up and takes down furniture and equipment to prepare facilities for program use. Opens, closes, locks and unlocks facilities, guards against vandalism and unlawful entry. Collects trash and recycling for disposal. Inspects and maintains assigned custodial equipment and small tools for proper operating condition. Works harmoniously with town officials, employees and the general public. Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications: Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a high school diploma with additional training in the field of work. Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the position usually interpreted to require one (1) year or less of experience in maintenance, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession of, or ability to readily obtain, a valid driver’s license issued by the State of New Hampshire for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
