Plaistow is seeking a qualified and engaging professional for the role of Code Enforcement Officer/ Building Inspector. The Code Enforcement Officer administers local, state, and federal codes related to building codes and land and property use in the Town. This individual will perform a variety of technical duties in support of local code enforcement; monitor and enforce a variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations related to zoning, land use, nuisance housing, building codes, health and matters of public concern; and serve as a resource and provides information regulations to property owners, residents, businesses, the public, and other Town departments.
The Code Enforcement Officer/Building Inspector will work closely with their administrative assistant, two trades inspectors, and the Zoning Officer to review various permit applications, complete inspections, and respond to complaints directed towards the Department of Building Safety.
