Master Fleet Mechanic
The Town of Amherst, New Hampshire Department of Public Works (DPW) Highway division is accepting applications to fill the position of Master Fleet Mechanic. This full-time position is a rewarding career building opportunity. We are looking for a team member who can work in a professional, customer-orientated environment. Job responsibilities include overseeing the maintenance, repair, and management of the Town’s fleet of vehicles and equipment. Minimum qualifications include associate’s degree in automotive technology, 5 years’ experience in automotive maintenance and repair and basic computer skills (preferred), or a combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge and skills to perform the job. Preference given to NH CDL Class A license with air brake and tanker endorsements. NH CDL Class B required (must be obtained by the end of 6-month probation). Normal work hours are 6:30 AM till 2:30 PM Monday through Friday. Starting hourly rate of $30.12 hr. adjusted depending on qualifications with full benefit package, including State of NH retirement.
