Deputy Town Clerk

Town of Swanzey seeks Deputy Town Clerk 

The Town of Swanzey seeks a qualified resident of Swanzey to serve in the position of Deputy Town Clerk. This part-time is approximately 25 hours per week with starting hourly rate around $20.00 depending on experience and pro-rated benefits including paid time off and holidays. 

This position supports the Town Clerk, assisting with processing motor vehicle registrations, maintaining Town/State vital and other official records, licensing dogs, and registering boats.  The position also helps with elections and fills in for the Town Clerk as needed. 

The successful candidate will have: three years’ experience in banking/booking/retail or a similar industry that included handling money and making bank deposits; strong customer service skills; and strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  Accounting or financial experience preferred. Proven experience with confidential information required.
