With billions of dollars in competitive funding available to municipalities across dozens of new and existing federal programs, municipalities have many opportunities to secure funding for critical public infrastructure and other projects to improve their communities.
In this webinar, NHMA will introduce the launch of a new “pilot program,” in partnership with Arnett Development Group (ADG), to provide coaching and technical assistance to help smaller population municipalities become better positioned to apply for these types of competitive federal grants. Margaret Byrnes, NHMA’s Executive Director, will describe the new service and the purpose and goals of the pilot program, as well as how and when interested municipalities can apply.
Katherine Heck, NHMA’s Government Finance Advisor, will then provide an overview of federal funding opportunities available to cities and towns and highlight grant opportunities available through the Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act (BIL/IIJA) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). She will also cover how municipalities can access these funding streams, which are available to communities of all sizes.
