NHMA Member Registration Fees: $115.00 in person, $70.00 virtual
Non-member Registration Fees (state and school officials only)*: $230.00 in person, $140.00 virtual
*Non-member attendance is limited to government officials who are not members of NHMA and not eligible to be members (schools and state agencies). If space is limited, priority will be given to NHMA members. WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
The Budget and Finance workshop is targeted at municipal officials and employees involved in the budgeting process, including members of governing bodies and budget committees, town managers, administrators, department heads and finance staff. The training is mainly focused on the Municipal Budget Law, RSA 32, and will not delve into the unique characteristics of education funding. This essential budget training will be presented by NHMA's Katherine Heck, Government Finance Advisor, Stephen Buckley, Legal Services Counsel and Jonathan Cowal, Municipal Services Counsel.
Attendees will receive an electronic copy of the publication, The 2024 Basic Law of Budgeting: A Guide for Towns, Village Districts and School Districts. Additional materials such as the PowerPoint presentation will also be distributed electronically. No print outs of the materials or hard copy of the publication will be provided.

Pre-registration and payment is required. You will be billed according to the pricing on the options you select at registration. If you wish to make changes, NHMA must be notified in writing at least 48 hours in advance. Refund of the full registration fee will be made if cancellation notification is received 48 hours in advance. Cancellation less than 48 hours in advance, including no-shows, will result in you being charged the full cost of the workshop.
