JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Records Technician, you will play an important role in providing exceptional customer service to over 91,000 citizens of Nashua. Primary duties include providing information, assistance, reports and direction to the public; providing clerical functions and coordinated support/assistance to the Records Division; redacting of documentation and releasing of reports as it pertains to the Right to Know Law; locating/retrieving information, processing restraining orders and other related paperwork, purging information; monitoring the main lobby; and other related duties. The right candidate will have a strong customer service background and have a good understanding regarding the importance of confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 2 pm to 10 pm, is part of the Teamsters Collective Bargaining Unit, and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 6, with an hourly rate dependent upon experience.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or certified equivalent
- A minimum of one-year relevant work experience. A combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered
- Must possess or obtain SPOTS/NCIC certification within one year of acceptance of this position
- Must possess good oral communication and human relations skills, computer literacy to perform the requirements of the position
