Land Use Administrative Assistant

The Town of Whitefield is seeking a high performing professional administrative assistant who can work independently in the Land Use Department.  This position supports planning, zoning, and other departments.  The right candidate will be responsible for the day to day tasks that include processing of all applications, prepare correspondence and notices, attend Planning meetings (First 2 Tuesdays of each month starting at 6:30 PM), Zoning meetings, and transcribes minutes.  Duties will also include answering phone inquiries regarding planning and zoning, assisting the public, work with other departments and any other duties that may be needed.

This is a part-time position (up-to 18 hours a week (flexible) in a great work environment that offers a competitive wage ranging from $18.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience.

High School diploma or equivalent with experience in accounting, data entry and general clerical work; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required.  Experience with Avitar preferred but not required.  Municipal planning background preferred or the ability to be learned within a reasonable period of time in order to successfully perform the assigned duties.
