Highway Road Crew Member

The Town of Wilmot is accepting applications for a full-time truck driver/equipment operator.  This is a 40-hour per week position with a competitive municipal benefits package including: 100% employee and dependent health coverage, participation in the NH Retirement System and short-term disability insurance.  Pay rate $24 - $27 per hour depending on level of experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma, a CDL-B license, good mechanical skills, be able to operate a dump truck, heavy equipment and other various small equipment, plow and sand municipal roads, and live within 30 minutes travel time from the highway garage in Wilmot.  Candidate should be in good physical condition, willing to work in adverse conditions, and be available nights and weekends as required. This position WILL require overtime in winter and during other weather-related emergencies.  Candidate must be able to work independently, have good problem-solving skills, and use good judgment in emergency situations. It is important that this person be honest and reliable and be able to  interact well with other crew members and the general public.
