Full Time Police Officer

The Wakefield Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.  The pay rate is $25.20 - $35.91 per hour.

Benefits: Health insurance, Dental insurance, Competitive Earned Time Off and Compensatory Time, NH Retirement System II participant, overnight shift differential pay, and a favorable shift schedule of 4 days on 3 days off.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; be 21 years old at the time of appointment; possess a valid driver’s license; be a U.S. citizen; be in good physical condition; and possess the ability and desire to work with the public. 

Candidates are expected to participate in and pass the following areas: Physical Agility Test, Oral Board Interview, Psychological Examination, Medical Screen, Drug Screen, Background Check, and Interview with the Chief of Police.  Non-certified applicants are expected to attend Full-Time NH Police Academy upon hire and obtain Full-Time Police Officer certification.
