Environmental Compliance Technician

Hooksett Village Water Precinct is currently accepting resumes for the part-time or full-time position of Environmental Compliance Technician.

This position could also be set up as an internship. The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree or be a candidate for a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or have an equivalent level of academic and professional experience.

The ideal candidate has the ability to obtain NH Grade I Water Operator Distribution and Treatment certifications within two years of hire. We stand ready to train motivated applicants. All candidates shall be adept at written/oral communications; completing assigned tasks; time management; critical thinking and analysis; attention to detail; the practical application of math to solve real world problems; and the use of digital applications including spreadsheets, word processing, and presentations. At a minimum, candidates must demonstrate a can-do spirit, an ability to work well with others, a willingness to learn and an aptitude for both hands-on and office work. Proficiency with environmental technology, earth science, engineering or GIS preferred; construction or maintenance experience is also a plus.

Candidates must successfully complete a job application, physical exam, background check, motor vehicle record check, illegal substance test and comply with all job description requirements (www.hooksettvillagewater.org) including rotating on-call duty if needed and responding promptly to emergencies. Entry level candidates can anticipate a starting rate of approximately $26.08/hour plus overtime.
