Cyber Security Analyst

The City of Rochester is accepting applications for a full-time Cyber Security Analyst to be responsible for safeguarding the city's information systems against cyber threats. 

Special Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, or similar, are highly desirable
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a cybersecurity role is essential, with a preference for experience in public sector or municipal environments
  • Experience including hands-on involvement in implementing security measures, responding to incidents, and staying abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders are also crucial 

Non-union grade 13; Pay range $76,336.00 to $102,876.80 dependent upon qualifications and experience. Pre-employment medical and drug screen and background check are required.
