Construction Maintenance Repair III

The Town of Salem, NH seeks a full-time (40 hours/week) Construction Maintenance Repair III to Performs a wide variety of duties involving the reading, installation, and repair of water meters, and the construction, repair and maintenance of the water distribution and sewer collection systems including all facilities and appurtenances of these systems.  Operates vehicles and equipment necessary to perform the described duties.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of a high school, vocational or technical school with three years of water/wastewater construction and maintenance work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience and an NH Distribution I Certification or the ability to obtain within 2 years from the date of hire.  Preferred candidates will hold a CDL-B license, based on your experience the department is willing to send selected candidates to train to obtain the required license.   

Salary pay range $25.36-$27.43/HR. dependent upon qualifications and experience with competitive benefits including participation in the NH Retirement System.  Pre-employment testing will include educational and criminal background, and motor vehicle records.
