The Town of Salem, NH seeks a full-time (40 hours/week) Construction Maintenance Repair I to Performs a wide variety of duties involving the reading, installation, and repair of water meters, and the construction, repair and maintenance of the water distribution and sewer collection systems including all facilities and appurtenances of these systems. Operates vehicles and equipment necessary to perform the described duties.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate of a high school, vocational or technical school with two years of water/wastewater construction and maintenance work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requirements include possession of a CDL-B and an NH Distribution I Certification or the ability to obtain within 2 years from the date of hire.
Salary pay range $23.80-$25.74/hour (As of April 1, 2024, salary range will be $24.63-$26.64/hr.) dependent upon qualifications and experience with competitive benefits including participation in the NH Retirement System. Pre-employment testing will include educational and criminal background, and motor vehicle records.
