IT Help Desk Technician

Job Summary:
The Town of Goffstown is seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Help Desk Technician to join our Information Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing basic technical support to end users, performing onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining and installing hardware and software, and managing content changes on the Town website.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic (Tier 1) technical support to end users.
- Triage all technical support requests and escalate as necessary.
- Perform processes for onboarding and offboarding of end users.
- Provide and demonstrate training material and resources to town employees.
- Maintain and install Information Systems hardware and software.
- Provide design recommendations and content changes for the Town Website.
- Operate under industry best practices and State and Federal governance.
- Maintain knowledge through assigned training, publications, and other resources.
- Perform similar or related work as required, directed, or as the situation dictates.
This is a 40-hour/week hourly, non-exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package. Starting pay is $24.89 - $29.98 based on qualifications and experience. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM.
