A Town Accountant / Finance Director plays a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and transparency of the municipality, supporting its mission to serve the community effectively and responsibly. This role involves managing budgetary processes, financial reporting and monitoring expenditures.
Performs all the duties specifically required of the Town Accountant by the general Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Ensures all municipal transactions conform to Mass General Law, Department of Revenue Guidelines, and sound accounting practices.
