Deputy Town Clerk

The Town of Warner is seeking a Part Time Deputy Town Clerk 22 to 30 hrs. weekly. The Deputy supports the Town Clerk with the following:  processing motor vehicles, boat registrations, vital records, and issuing dog licenses; performs daily accounting operations accurately; keeps all Town records, makes official reports, collects fees, and acts as an election official.   Commissioned as a Justice of the Peace and/or a Notary Public. Knowledge and experience with Outlook and Microsoft Office. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times. This is an Appointed position. Starting rate is dependent upon experience and education. The Position will remain open until filled by qualified applicant.

Education and/or Experience:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is the minimum qualification.  The Ideal Candidate would have 2 years of general office work experience and a willingness to learn new tasks.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Warner Resident
  • Must become a Certified Municipal Agent within 3 months of hire.
