The Town of Amherst, NH, DPW is seeking Contractors for an “on call, as needed, Winter Plow, Truck and Driver”.
This position pays $104.31 per hour; additionally, a 10 hour per week minimum will be paid. A diesel fuel adjustment will be made each bi-weekly period based on the American Automotive Association (AAA) New Hampshire Average Diesel Price.
The position requires the contractor to provide a 26,000 GVW or greater truck with plow, sander and driver for snow plowing and road treatment during inclement winter weather events. The contractor must be capable of plowing snow, treating ice, and other emergencies with nighttime work.
Familiarity with the Town of Amherst area roads will be considered an advantage.
