It's legislative half-time and time for teams to swap ends of the field of play.
Join Executive Director Margaret M.L. Byrnes, Government Affairs Counsel Natch Greyes, Government Finance Advisor Katherine Heck and Municipal Services Counsel Jonathan Cowal for a look at the status of legislation affecting municipalities after "Crossover." Crossover is the date by which a bill must pass either the House or the Senate in order to "cross-over" to the other chamber for consideration.
NHMA's advocacy team will discuss the current status of bills at the State House and offer a postmortem on a few that have been killed. The discussion will include, among other items, municipal lobbying, short-term rentals & zoning issues, election law matters, the Right-to-Know law, and the retirement system.
