Request for Proposal
The Town of Dummer invites you to submit a Proposal for Municipal Assessing Services.
Contract requirements
· Annual Changes – Assess and generate new values for any new parcels, subdivisions, lot line adjustments, mergers, etc.
· Pick-ups – Routinely assess updates due to new construction, additions, renovations, demolitions, etc.
· Meetings – Meet with the Select Board no more than once a month.
· Abatements – Consider all abatement requests and make a recommendation to the Select Board.
· Appeals – Represent the town in all abatements or appeals.
· Utilities – Utility values are covered under a separate contract.
· Sales Ratio – Review and verify sales as required by DRA and provide information to town.
· DRA Monitoring – Meet and work with DRA State Monitors as needed to ensure the Town of Dummer is meeting DRA requirements.
· Data Processing – Enter data of all assessment related changes.
· Cycled Inspections – Verify, on average, 10% of the total records per year.
· 2029 Revaluation – Work with Town and Avitar to recalculate all values, this portion can be a separate contract.
· Miscellaneous – Assist with any miscellaneous situations that arise that involve valuation.
