Grant Management Specialist

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Urban Programs Manager, this position is responsible for achieving and maintaining compliance with requirements of grantor agencies. This role includes data collection and analysis, report preparation and submittals, financial controls, monitoring of third parties, and related duties. This position will provide day to day administrative and program support for the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships Program grant programs. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, is part of the UAW Professional Bargaining Unit and provides an excellent work life balance. The position is grade 12, with a salary not to exceed $63,369.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree majoring in Community Development, Public Administration, Economics, Business or related field
  • 3 to 5 years in similar or related work experience
  • Ability to report, write, or edit articles for publications; prepare deeds, contracts, leases, or mortgages; prepare and deliver lectures; interview, counsel, or advise people; evaluate technical data
  • Knowledge of MS Windows, MS Professional Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Desk Top Publisher, etc.) and other software programs necessary to this position
  • Knowledge of IDIS online system and printers
