The Bristol Fire Department has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Firefighter/ALS Provider. The Department is seeking energetic applicants that are looking to serve and be a part of this great Lakes Region community. The successful candidate will be assigned to a 24-hours on, 48-hours off schedule, with a Kelly Day every three weeks.
Bristol Fire responds to ~1500 emergency calls annually. The successful candidate will work on a modern apparatus and ambulance fleet out of a new public safety building. Strong housing inventory, combined with great restaurants, events, parks and recreation trails, and great beaches on Newfound Lake, Bristol is a true Live, Work, and Play community.
Position open until filled. First resume review is November 25, 2024, at 1200 hours.
Starting Salary based on qualifications and experience. Current Salary Range:
$59,030 to 81,711/annual FF/Advanced EMT (12 Step Scale)
$63,897 to 88,449/annual FF/Paramedic (12 Step Scale)
Minimum Qualifications:
· Firefighter II (ProBoard or ability to obtain reciprocity in NH)
· Licensed New Hampshire AEMT (or ability to obtain NH license), EMTs will be considered and would have one year to obtain AEMT
· Must pass criminal record and N.H. motor vehicle background checks
· Current CPAT certificate OR Lateral transfer of full-time career personnel pursuant to
State of New Hampshire Administrative Rule 703.01
Additional Consideration for:
· Paramedic Certification
· CDL-B with tank and airbrake endorsements
· Associate Degree or higher
