Program Specialists, Lead Counselors & Counselors - Kids After School Time Program Positions (Part-time)

Hanover Parks and Recreation is hiring for positions with Kids After School Time, (“KAST”), the Town’s after school program for Hanover residents in grades K-5. KAST operates M/T/Th/F from 2:15-5:45 and Wed. from 1:30-5:45 at the Bernice Ray Elementary School and the Richmond Middle School. 

Available positions include Program Specialists (grades K-2 or 3-5), Lead Counselors, and Counselors. All positions are part-time and temporary, for the 2017-18 school year. Candidates must be creative, energetic, fun-loving, and enjoy working with school age children. Preference will be given to candidates who can work a 3 to 5-day schedule for one or more seasons (fall, winter, or spring) and are CPR Certified.
 
Program Specialist: Helps provide on and off-site program coordination and oversight.  Candidates must have knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with specialized training in the child care field, which includes hands on experience leading staff and working with age appropriate groups. $15 to $17 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Lead Counselor: Several positions available. Leads and supervises children in program activities and provides direction to Counselors. Candidates must have experience leading or working with elementary school age children in a group setting. $10.50 per hour.

Counselor: Several positions available. Participates in program activities and helps to supervise children with direction from the Lead Counselor. Previous experience working with children is preferred. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. $9.00 per hour.
