Unlike most towns and cities in New Hampshire, the Goffstown Department of Public Works designs and constructs most of our own road work, thanks in no small part to a talented and cohesive crew. The next Town Engineer will be responsible for this design, as well as
supervision of the FT and seasonal engineering staff, Planning Board design review, MS4 stormwater system quality, and is a key player in development of the long-term plans for the Department. This position is highly regarded in the community, and this vacancy is a result of promotion of the prior incumbent to Director of Public Works. Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering related field required. Professional Engineering license (or ability to obtain within 12 months), and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in construction and/or engineering is desired. Any comparable combination of education, experience, and certifications shall be considered. Town of Goffstown offers a competitive leave and benefits plan, including NH Retirement System participation. Full pay range for the position is $68,660 - 99,486, with starting salary DOQ.
