The town of Rindge, NH is seeking an experienced part-time Town Administrator with the potential for full-time hire. Rindge is a quaint New England community with a population of 6,014. Located in southern Cheshire County, the town is home to Franklin Pierce University, the Cathedral of the Pines and is known for its recreational opportunities including seven large ponds and lakes and numerous wilderness areas. The town of Rindge has an operating budget of $4.2M, a three-member Board of Selectmen and employs 24 full-time and 55 part-time employees.
EXPECTATIONS: The Town Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the town, as assigned and directed by the Board of Selectmen, serves as the administrative and business officer to the Board of Selectmen, and as a general resource to the citizens of the town. The ideal candidate should have strong financial, management, town-planning and land use skills, as well as significant knowledge of municipal law. The ideal candidate must have the ability to establish positive working relationships with town officials, town employees, citizens, the school district, the university and the business community. The candidate of choice will be a proven team builder, possessing the ability to collaborate, cultivate relationships and will be skilled at conflict resolution.
