2019 CUSTODIAL SERVICES REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Town of Conway is now accepting bids for custodial services. This contract will encompass the general cleaning of the new Conway Parks and Recreation Facility (Kennett Middle School) located at 176 Main St., Conway, NH. Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Town of Conway Recreation Department Custodial Services”. All proposals are due by Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Proposals shall be submitted to the office of the Selectmen, Attn: Krista Day, 1634 East Main Street, Center Conway, NH 03813.

INSTRUCTIONS

Interested parties should submit the enclosed bid form no later than 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 3. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope clearly marked “2019 Cleaning Services” and submitted to the Finance Director, 1634 East Main street, Center Conway, NH 03813. No bids shall be accepted after 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Please include proof of worker’s compensation for employees, and a minimum of $1 million in liability insurance in which the Town of Conway and the Conway School District are named as additionally insured.

TERMS

This will be a six (6) month contract; should the Town be satisfied with the services; at the end of this term the contract shall be renewed for three (3) years.

PAYMENT

The Town shall make bi-monthly payments for the services rendered.

SPECIFICATIONS

This work will encompass the general cleaning and floor maintenance as specified. The cleaning work shall be performed daily with a total of (20) hours per week. The days and hours will change depending on the season and the contractor will meet with the Recreation Director and Assistant Director for that information. The Town Shall provide paper supplies, restroom deodorizers, liquid soap dispensers, and trash bags. The contractor will use own cleaning supplies. General cleaning includes, but is not limited to dusting, vacuuming, washing floors to include gym hardwood floor, bathroom fixtures, replenishing paper products, cleaning wastebaskets and recycling containers. Floor maintenance incudes stripping, waxing, and buffing per attached schedule (Once per year every November). Contractor must possess the necessary equipment for performing these floor maintenance needs. Contractor must pass a background check for security reasons.
