The Welfare Specialist I will assess applicants’ need for local welfare assistance and will help applicants access other local services which they may qualify for. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while providing exceptional customer service to a diverse population. They will perform a variety of high level clerical and social service duties. Knowledge of social service agencies in the Manchester area a plus. Performs directly related work as required.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in a related social science field; and
Some experience in social services; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
