Environmental Permits & Program Coordinator

City of Nashua

PRIMARY DUTIES

Position coordinates and implements the City’s environmental permits and programs, including Storm Water, Wastewater, Industrial Pretreatment, Air Resource and other environmental permitting as required. Coordinates the development and operation of the Collection System Capacity Management, Operation, and Maintenance Program (CMOM). Position reports to Wastewater Superintendent and works directly with the City Engineer and Director of Public Works.  Position is responsible for ensuring that the City satisfies federal, state, and local environmental requirements.

 

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in an environmental discipline, including training in hazardous materials management and considerable experience in storm water management and collection system maintenance including the Federal Industrial Pretreatment Program or equivalent combination of experience and training.  Must be able to obtain Grade II Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License, Grade II Collection System Operator License and certificate in Hazardous Materials Training within one year of hire. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
