The Town of Enfield, NH, is seeking to fill the reconstituted full time position of Land Use & Community Development Administrator (Administrator) to help our community continue to grow and thrive into the future. Enfield is a community of approximately 4,600 permanent residents (the population increases substantially with seasonal residents during the summer months), situated in the Upper Valley Region approximately 10-20 minutes from the population centers of Lebanon and Hanover (home of Dartmouth College and the renowned Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center) and only two hours from Boston. Enfield is an attractive community with a wide range of local businesses, a proud Shaker cultural heritage, two large scenic lakes, and an abundance of open space.
The Administrator will have a number of important and rewarding professional responsibilities. These include: facilitating review of and updates to the Town's master plan and other long-term community plans; assisting the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment in the administration, compliance, review, and interpretation of adopted codes and ordinances; ensuring that projects comply with all planning and zoning requirements; assisting and evaluating processes to citizens for both residential and commercial development; promoting the creation and implementation of economic development strategies (working in close coordination with the Town Manager, local land use boards, regional planning commission, chamber of commerce, relevant state and federal agencies, Grafton County, and other entities); actively courting community development opportunities and marketing the town for desirable business and residential development. The Administrator maintains a high level of communication with, and reports to, the Town Manager.

This is a salaried position. Starting salary will be negotiable based on experience.
