The Town of Lincoln, NH is seeking a dynamic, creative, and experienced “hands-on” Finance Director with excellent interpersonal skills to perform, with assistance from staff, accounting, payroll, financial reporting, auditing, and budgeting functions. Financial oversight includes the General Fund, as well as the Water, Sewer, Electric, CIP and Grants Fund. The Finance Director maintains and updates financial procedures, oversee internal controls, reconciles general ledger accounts, directs operations of finance department and supervises staff, prepares annual Town Budget, prepares and analyses monthly financial statements, directs audit preparation, serves as primary liaison with external auditors, supervises cash management, manages technology infrastructure and the computerized accounting system, prepares a variety of financial reports for the Town Manager, coordinates communications and regular reports on financial matters with other departments.
The Finance Director is a full-time salaried Department Head position responsible for supervising, directing, and managing all administrative and technical aspects of the Town’s Finance Department. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of municipal finance programs and services, a BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, business or public administration or closely related field, strong leadership skills, high ethical and professional standards and values, strong customer service skills, and a minimum of five (5) years of directly related financial management experience in the public sector or the equivalent combination of education and work experience sufficient to excel at all facets of this position.
Total compensation package, depending upon experience and qualification: $70K -$80K. Position open until filled.
